The story begins with the foundation in 1916 of La Ventilation Industrielle et Minière by Jules Beuzit and a centralist Raymond Laponche to provide ventilation equipment at that time to mines, heavy industry and later to ships.
Over the years, VIM will successively become VIM Fläkt / AEROPLAST / AERO VIM / VIM -AEROPLAST / ABB VIM , then regain its original name in 2000 when it was acquired by the Soler & Palau group.
At the end of 2015 VIM employs 180 people for a turnover of 50.4 million euros.
The company has more than 3,000 active installer customers, including large French groups, the main groups of installers and regional independents.
