PVC or polypropylene box equipped with a G4 pre-filter and standard or RBAA active carbon filters.
19 box sizes handling from 150 to 13,200 m³/h.

Description

Air temperature up to 60°C.
Relative humidity up to 70%.
Recommended by EN 13779 to achieve high or medium indoor air quality (INT 1 or 2) with fresh air of very high concentration of gaseous pollutants and/or particles (ANF 3).
Enclosures sizes 001 to 004 and 008 to 088 in anti-corrosive PVC, components resistant to chemical agents. Enclosure size 006 in polypropylene for aggressive atmospheres. No metal parts.
Independent pre-filter protecting the active carbon filter, increasing efficiency and duration.
High efficiency activated carbons, selected for laboratory fumes.
2 types of active carbon filters according to EN 14387:
- standard plate approved class A and AX,
- RBAA standard plate approved class E.

Functioning

Activated carbon filtration: adsorption (physical phenomenon by which a solid attracts molecules to its surface under the action of Van Der Waals forces). The pollutant molecules "fix" themselves to the surface of the activated carbon. The activation of the carbon allows the formation of micro pores increasing its total exchange surface, up to more than 2,000 m2 per gram of activated carbon.
Pressure loss varies very little over the life of the activated carbon filter.
Temperature and humidity decrease the adsorption capacity of carbon. Low temperature promotes efficiency, the filter supports 70% relative humidity at maximum. Dust impairs the proper functioning of the activated carbon filter, the pre-filter must be monitored.
The box must operate under negative pressure, with the fan after the box in the direction of the air.
